1. Who we are & what this policy covers

“Smooth Move,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean SMOOTH MOVE HOME SERVICES LLC. This policy explains our handling of personal information when you contact us by phone or email, visit this privacy page, or submit an inquiry to us through our dealer microsite.

Our dealer microsite is hosted on the shared residential.directvdealer.com platform. This policy covers personal information we receive when responding to internet, TV and mobile inquiries, including AT&T internet and AT&T Fiber, AT&T mobile plans, DIRECTV streaming TV and DIRECTV satellite TV, through the contact channels described above.

The platform host and product providers also process information in connection with their own systems. Their separate notices and applicable terms govern their own handling of that information. This policy does not cover other dealers using the shared platform or replace a provider’s privacy notice.

2. Information collected

  • Contact and inquiry details: first and last name, email address, phone number if supplied, service address, city, ZIP code, inquiry topic, product interests and the message you choose to send. The microsite form also records the referring page and your consent-checkbox response.
  • Correspondence and request history: emails, follow-up notes, the options you ask about, and information needed for a quote, availability inquiry, appointment or order you request.
  • Call information: telephone number, call details and recordings of calls with us for quality and training purposes.
  • Technical information: hosting and platform systems may process an IP address, browser or device information, pages requested, referring pages and access times to deliver pages, operate features and protect against misuse. Analytics and advertising tools use browser identifiers and information about page views and interactions, including form-submission events and call-button clicks. See Cookies & tracking.

Information comes from you, the dealer platform when it sends us your inquiry, the platform tools described below, and, where needed to handle your request, the relevant order-processing parties. The platform operator reports that IP addresses are not stored in website form entries. That statement does not mean that hosting, spam-screening, analytics or other third-party tools never process IP addresses.

Please do not put payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords or identity documents in a general inquiry form or ordinary email. If a provider needs additional information to process an order, use its designated secure process.

3. How information is used

We use information to respond to your inquiry, discuss the product you asked about, check address-based availability where available, prepare requested quotes, arrange requested appointments, and assist with order steps you choose to pursue.

We also use relevant records to manage follow-up, maintain business records, improve the quality of our conversations and staff training, protect against fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations.

The shared platform also uses analytics and advertising measurement to understand visits and interactions and measure advertising activity. The platform operator reports on activity through the main dealer-site analytics property and a separate Smooth Move analytics property.

Submitting an inquiry does not require you to make a purchase. Reading this policy is not consent to marketing messages, automated calls or call recording.

4. When information is shared

Inquiries directed to Smooth Move are received by SMOOTH MOVE HOME SERVICES LLC. Our business and privacy contact email is info@thesmoothmove.us.

Depending on your request, relevant information may be disclosed to:

  • Businesses that support our operations, such as website and form hosting, email, telephone and call-recording providers, for the functions they perform for us.
  • The relevant product provider or order-processing partner when needed to carry out an availability check, quote, appointment or order you request. The information needed depends on the next step you choose.
  • Authorities or professional advisers where necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights and safety, or address a dispute.

Shared-platform processing and delivery

The microsite uses Gravity Forms within WordPress, hosted on WP Engine. Google reCAPTCHA and Akismet (Automattic) screen submissions for spam. These tools and their operators process information for the functions they perform.

According to the platform operator, inquiry notification emails are addressed only to info@thesmoothmove.us. They are sent from info@directvdealer.com through SMTP.com. The notification-recipient statement does not exclude processing by the hosting, screening and delivery providers.

Pure manages the platform's Google Tag Manager configuration on behalf of DIRECTV. Google Analytics 4 receives page views and basic interaction events in both the main DIRECTV dealer-site property and Smooth Move's own property. Smooth Move reporting is available through Looker Studio. Google Ads and Meta Pixel receive page-view information for advertising measurement.

We do not sell your inquiry or contact details as leads to other businesses. Sharing information to carry out your requested product inquiry or order is described above. The analytics and advertising disclosures described above are separate from lead sales. A provider’s subsequent use of information is covered by its own privacy notice.

5. Calls & communications

Calls with Smooth Move are recorded for quality and training purposes. Recordings contain the information discussed during the call. If you prefer not to take part in a recorded call, contact us by email at info@thesmoothmove.us.

We may reply to your inquiry using the contact details you provide. You can ask us to stop further follow-up about your inquiry by emailing us or telling our representative.

The platform operator reports that dealer notification emails sent to Smooth Move include open and click tracking. The delivery system can therefore record interaction with those notifications. These emails are separate from the website-entry and email-delivery-log retention periods described below.

We do not send marketing text messages or use automated marketing calls. This policy does not authorize either activity. Any future change involving these communications would require an updated notice and the consent required for that activity.

6. Cookies, embedded tools & tracking

This privacy page

This page is a static notice. Its page code does not set cookies, use browser storage, or load analytics, advertising pixels or Google Ads conversion tags. Our hosting provider may process ordinary server logs and technical information needed to deliver and protect the page.

The shared dealer microsite

The microsite runs on a separate platform. Its operator provided the following information about the technologies currently configured there. Cookie availability and duration can vary with browser settings, blocking and subsequent visits.

  • Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_* cookies are used for analytics, with reported lifetimes of up to 13 months.
  • Google advertising measurement: the platform reports a _gcl_au cookie with a 90-day lifetime and _gcl_ls in browser storage, associated with its advertising-measurement configuration.
  • Meta/Facebook measurement: the platform reports _fbp and Facebook fr cookies with 90-day lifetimes, plus a last-referring-site value in browser storage.
  • Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies on contact forms and processes information for security and spam screening.
  • Site session: PHPSESSID is a session cookie reported to be deleted when the browser closes.

The operator has not supplied a fixed retention period for the named browser-storage values or reCAPTCHA cookies. Cookie lifetimes are different from the retention periods for analytics records, form entries or email copies.

The microsite also uses Google Fonts and standard script libraries, and its contact page includes Google Maps. Loading third-party resources can disclose technical information, such as an IP address and browser details, to the resource provider. The form also uses Akismet for spam screening.

Existing measurement and future changes

Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Meta measurement already operate on the shared microsite, as described above. Connection and validation of lead conversions for Smooth Move's own Google Ads campaigns are separate setup steps and have not yet been confirmed. A page view or call-button click does not by itself establish that an inquiry was completed or a call connected.

We will update this notice when our actual data practices or campaign measurement change. Existing platform measurement should not be understood as absent merely because further campaign configuration is pending.

Available controls and provider notices

The platform operator reports that the microsite currently has no cookie-consent banner or on-site opt-out control. You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies and site storage. These controls may affect functionality and do not necessarily stop every form of processing. This privacy page cannot change the shared platform's tracking settings, and reading it is not consent to tracking.

You can email info@thesmoothmove.us with a privacy question or request. Where your request concerns platform-controlled information, we will coordinate with the operator as needed. See section 8 for additional information about your choices.

Learn more from Google's information about processing data from partner sites, the Google Privacy Policy, Google Terms of Service, the Meta Privacy Policy and the Automattic Privacy Policy.

7. Retention & security

The platform operator reports these current retention settings:

  • Website form entries: deleted from the website after one day.
  • Email-delivery logs: recipient, subject and delivery status are kept for one month; this log does not contain the message content.
  • Google Analytics 4: a 14-month retention setting is reported for analytics data. This is not a promise that every aggregate report or other platform record is deleted after 14 months.

Deleting a website form entry does not delete the notification email received by Smooth Move, correspondence, call recordings or other records held in separate systems. No separate fixed period for notification-email open/click tracking has been supplied by the platform operator.

We retain inquiry records, correspondence and call recordings for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. The period depends on the status of your inquiry or order, quality and training needs, applicable recordkeeping obligations and the need to resolve disputes. Information may need to be retained after a deletion request where an applicable legal exception requires or permits it.

Personal information should be accessed and used only for an appropriate business purpose. No website, email system or storage method can guarantee complete security. Please limit the information you include in a general inquiry to what is needed for your request.

8. Your privacy choices & requests

You can contact us to ask about information we hold about you, request access, correction or deletion, or ask us to stop inquiry follow-up. Depending on where you live and which laws apply to us, you may have additional rights, including a copy of your information, limits on certain uses, an opt-out of certain disclosures, or an appeal of a decision about your request.

Email info@thesmoothmove.us with the subject “Privacy request,” call (800) 896-3869, or write to the address below. Describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant inquiry. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority before responding. Do not email sensitive identity documents unless a suitable verification method has been arranged.

We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law, including any applicable response periods, exceptions and appeal rights. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Requests about information held independently by a product provider should also be directed to that provider.

9. Other websites & children’s privacy

Links to another website take you to a separate site with its own privacy practices. You can review the DIRECTV Privacy Center and the AT&T Privacy Center for information about those providers.

Our inquiries and sales conversations are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate steps.

10. Policy updates & contact

We may update this policy as our practices change. The date at the top identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
